To find a list of users who have signed in to Power BI, you can utilize the Power BI audit logs. Here's how you can access this information:

  1. Sign in to the Power BI Service:

  2. Navigate to the Admin Portal:

    • Click on your profile picture or initials in the top-right corner to open the menu.
    • Select "Admin portal" from the menu options. This will open the Power BI Admin Portal in a new tab.
  3. Access Audit Logs:

    • In the Power BI Admin Portal, navigate to the "Usage metrics" section from the left-hand menu.
    • Click on "Usage logs" to access the audit logs.
  4. Filter Audit Logs:

    • Use the filter options to narrow down the audit logs to show sign-in events specifically.
    • You can filter by date range, user activity type, and other parameters to focus on sign-in events.
  5. View Sign-in Events:

    • Review the audit logs to see the list of users who have signed in to Power BI during the specified time period.
    • Each log entry will provide details such as the user's email address, sign-in time, client IP address, and other relevant information.
  6. Export Audit Logs (Optional):

    • If needed, you can export the audit logs to a CSV file for further analysis or reporting purposes.
    • Click on the "Export" button to export the filtered audit logs to a CSV file.

By following these steps, you can access the audit logs in the Power BI Admin Portal and find a list of users who have signed in to Power BI within a specific time frame. This information can be valuable for monitoring user activity, enforcing security policies, and analyzing usage patterns within your Power BI environment.
