If there is a requirement of embedding a word or pdf document in the SSRS then following alternatives can be done as embedding document(s) other than image is not possible in SSRS
Following alternatives can be done:
1) You can add shared folder link for the document in the report itself so that user can easily navigate to document location.
2) Use "Go to URL"option and provide full navigation URL for the document.
3) Render a Report itself as word document so So if you want data to be displayed as word , make SSRS report give rendering format as word
ie add &rs:Format=WORD to report URL
